… is the last thing I will ever do. I never in a million years would have believed I would one day be a pastor. I grew up with a strong dislike for church. It’s a long story – I’ll probably share it on here sometime… but for now – just believe me when I say it really is just about the last thing I ever thought I would do… be a pastor… but I am and I love it. I love my church. I love the people I get to meet every week and the ones that I have made life long friendships with. I also love seeing the look on people’s faces when I tell them I am a PASTOR. Especially at “pastor” gatherings, conferences, meetings, etc.
I think the “church” has become too “mainstream.” Jesus was not mainstream at all. He came to heal the sick, to seek and save the lost – see Luke 19:10 … not to hang around with the ones who already got it! Don’t get me wrong – I love being around other Christ-Followers and I love being a pastor to them as well! But I want to see people come to understand who Jesus is, what His teachings mean for us and how our life with Him far exceeds any life we can have without Him.
I love being a pastor… even though I am an unlikely one!
